Here are the first concepts for my personal identity (logo):
I was intent on using my first and maybe last initial in my logos. I wasn’t particularly interested in using a fictitious business name or anything like that, either. I also loved playing with the idea of using a whole heap of colors in the logo, as seen in Dache’s work.
I quite liked the idea of just using an outline of the letter E.
Since the color printer was broken, I ended up just printing black and white logos, this is the one that got the most attention:
Pros for this one were: appears very professional, very structured, feels organized.
Cons: seems very unfriendly.
My solution? I think I’ll round off the corners for the blocks. That should help with the “unfriendly” problem.
And this was my joke logo. Paul loves it, he thought it was very memorable.
